The purpose of the trip was to attend the National Bike Summit, an annual event held each spring in Washington DC for bicycle advocates and professionals to encourage members of Congress to support funding for bicycling infrastructure and programming as part of the national transportation policy. Mayor Barron and Chairman Ellis attended the Summit this year to meet with the Wyoming delegation and also to discuss the START Bus transit facility with officials from the US Department of Transportation.
